This document outlines how U-Track handles location tracking and geo-tagging for railway project monitoring.
1. Purpose of Tracking
Geo-tagging and location tracking are used exclusively for:
- Project verification and progress monitoring
- Ensuring work is performed at authorized locations
- Maintaining accurate records of railway infrastructure
2. Data Collection
Location data is captured only during authorized scanning activities:
- GPS coordinates are recorded when scanning QR codes
- Timestamps are logged for each scan
- All data is stored securely in encrypted databases
3. User Consent
By using the U-Track scanner application, users explicitly consent to:
- Location tracking during work-related scanning activities
- Storage of geo-tagged scan data
- Access by authorized administrators for verification purposes
4. Data Usage
Tracking data is used solely for:
- Verification of work completion at designated locations
- Progress reporting and project management
- Quality assurance and compliance monitoring
Important: Location data is NOT shared with third parties and is used exclusively for internal project management.
5. Data Retention
Geo-tagged scan data is retained according to our Data Retention Policy and may be archived for historical reference and audit purposes.
6. User Rights
Users have the right to:
- View their own scan history and locations
- Request clarification about tracking practices
